Lacey Food Bank - ARCHIVES

THE ESTEEMED SPONSOR PROGRAM

What or who is an esteemed sponsor? We give this designation to a firm or an individual who contributes toward the support of at least one client annually. At a cost of $240 a year, or in the case of a few of our contributors, * monthly donations equaling that, some esteemed sponsors support one, two or even six clients. Wouldn't YOU like to join this exclusive list? Do you know a potential sponsor? Tell them about this program and encourage them to participate!

The Lacey Garden Club  takes up  a collection at each of their monthly meetings for the esteemed sponsor program. Last year they supported two+  familes with these collections.
Mrs. Dorothy Simon initiated and runs the program.

Others contributing on a monthly basis include:
Vera Aiello,   Elizabeth Geiger, Carol Zirpolo ,
Anthony Macaluso , Ann Kish,  John & Bridget Lewis , Doris Piserchia, Ann & Tom Dorso
Mrs. & Mrs. Kenneth T. McGowan

Here's ShopRite's Community Affairs Liaison Jennifer McMahon, in front of our BIG BLUE food collection can, holding a certificate from the food bank, one of 14 we presented to esteemed sponsors (see below, right) the first week of January. The certificate reads " The Lacey Food Bank Program gratefully acknowledges
LACEY SHOP RITE
as an esteemed sponsor and friend to the needy." And that certainly says it all !

THANKS TO OUR FOOD BANK PARTNERS

The Township of Lacey makes it possible for us to have a home for the Food Bank.

Casey Parker and the Department of Public Works crew, for maintaining, cleaning and fixing our space as well as building shelves and of late, hauling bags of groceries -  "Thanks guys".

To Administrator John Adams, and his  office staff,  Pat and Fran who handle the food bank's paper work, mailings, phone calls and silly questions... "We really appreciate you! "

Hooray to the bus drivers from the Recreation Department who pick up the frail and elderly and bring them to us on distribution day.

Jeb, the webmaster, donated & designed this dedicated web site.

The Forked River Gazette has promoted our cause with generous amounts of space. We grieve for the Entrup family for losing their mother, wife and publisher, dear Valerie.
